Dr. Kristie Gering

Dr. Kristie Gering grew up in southeast South Dakota, which is where she attended college and medical school. In 1994, on the two week break between 2nd and 3rd year of medical school, she and Mark Gering were married. When Dr. Kristie graduated from medical school in 1996, they decided to check out a different part of the country for residency. Dr. Kristie attended the UW Madison Family Medicine Residency in Eau Claire WI. She and Mark fell in love with the Chippewa Valley and decided to stay. Her first job after graduating from residency in 1999 was with Family Health Associates in Chippewa Falls WI. She worked with that same group until venturing out to build her own clinic in January 2017. She finally took the time to take the test and officially became an Institute of Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner in October of 2020!

Kristie and Mark were fortunate in finding a beautiful piece of property in the apple orchard country between Eau Claire and Chippewa. Shortly after building their home, they were blessed with an amazing daughter named Rachel Grace.  Rachel began college in the fall of 2021,  and she is truly a beautiful young woman, inside and out!

On their small hobby farm they have two labs, Sandy & Cody, and quite a number of free-range, organically fed chickens. In their spare time, they also garden & grow black currants. Dr. Kristie has not had a lot of spare time to play in recent years, but when she does, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, Bible study, hiking their woods, taking pictures, cross country skiing, travel and researching functional medicine.

Creating a relationship with my patients while seeing them through life’s challenges on a path to wellness, brings joy and satisfaction to my life. My goal for every patient is for them to feel heard, seen, known and cared for while they are on a journey of transformation towards wellness. It is an honor to walk this journey with them. -Dr Robyn

Dr. Robyn Endrud is a board certified Family Medicine physician, who joined the Spero team as of January 2022. Her medical school and residency training was completed at the University of Minnesota. Along with her husband and three children, they moved to Wisconsin in 2014. She practiced for seven years in Menomonie, WI, at Mayo Clinic Health System doing full spectrum Family Medicine. In the summer of 2021, she felt called to learn about Functional Medicine and began her courses in the Fall of 2021. It quickly became clear that the Functional Medicine lens to medical care allowed her to search for and address the root cause of disease for patients, while treating the whole patient, body-soul-spirit. Although she loved her patients and practice in Menomonie, she knew she was called to leave the world of health-system-based care behind to find more time with patients and truly focus on helping people find wellness and cure disease whenever possible. She has fast tracked her path and became an Institute for Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner in 2023. She is now working part-time at Spero while homeschooling her three children.

Chelsi

Ph.D, RDN

Photo of Dr Chelsi Webster

Chelsi Webster, Ph.D., RDN grew up in northwestern Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a degree in dietetics and minor in Spanish. During her senior year of undergraduate, she became very ill. Though she was accepted into a graduate food science program, God made it clear she was not well enough to go through with it. Instead, she moved back to her hometown of Gilman to stay with her parents and get better. After visiting several doctors and specialists, the modern medical system determined that “nothing was wrong.” Feeling defeated and desperate, Chelsi stumbled across Dr. Gering’s practice in early 2018. At the first visit, Chelsi finally felt heard. Under Dr. Gering’s care, they uncovered and addressed the root issues. Chelsi was well enough by August 2018 to attend Texas Tech University, where she studied clinical nutrition with a focus on obesity and earned a Ph.D. in nutritional sciences in 2022. She also completed a dietetic internship through Texas Tech University and recently passed the registration examination to become a registered dietitian nutritionist.

After completing her studies, Chelsi moved back to Wisconsin hoping to help people steward their health with nutrition. Divine intervention led her to reach out to Dr. Gering and accept a position as a scribe with Spero Wellness. She looks forward to learning more about holistic approaches to health at Spero Wellness and counseling patients on how to steward their health.

Christine

Bishop

PRN

Christine Bishop

Christine joined Spero Wellness Clinic in March of 2022.  You may see her on occasion when you walk into the clinic when she helps us fill in at the front desk for vacations or as needed.

Prior to coming to us, she worked as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at a Critical Access Hospital. While there, she found fulfilment in finding solutions to improve the quality of life for her patients, teaching and training them how to best manage their chronic pulmonary disease. Yet, events of the past few years in traditional health care brought on an unquenchable desire for change. She is excited for new challenges and responsibilities, now working on the administrative side of health care, within a holistic, functional medicine clinic where balance and well-being are the driving factors.

She and her husband, Dave, have lived in Chippewa Falls since being married in 1985. Their immediate family consists of two independent, adventurous, adult children and an amazing daughter-in-law and grandbaby. Their family is scattered around the country, so life events and holidays turn into reasons to travel. They enjoy camping, hiking, biking, games, good food and drink, all best enjoyed in the company of family and friends.

“Then I realized that it is good and proper for a man to eat and drink, and to find satisfaction… to accept his lot and be happy in his work – this is a gift of God.” Ecclesiastes 5:18-19
